Not far from the Pennsylvania state border, Warren is a city in the northern part of the great state of Ohio. Warren is a great place to live, with a beautiful downtown and historic neighborhoods throughout, boasting a high quality of life for all who call Warren home. With its beginnings cited all the way back to the late 1700s, Warren has grown a lot but hasn’t lost its small-town charm. There are many local attractions in Warren that bring tourists to the area regularly. Warren is home to a number of high quality museums, including the National Packard Museum, the Harriet Taylor Upton House, the John Stark Edwards House and Museum, and the Sutliff Museum. The National Packard Museum showcases the history of a family that influenced many of the industrial advances that took place here in Warren, one of which was the famous Packard Automobile line. The Harriet Upton House is open for tours, and was the main facility used for meetings for the woman’s suffrage movement in the early 1900s. The John Stark Edwards House and Museum is a very old historic house, that has been restored and preserved for future generations to enjoy and learn from. It is decorated and furnished to reflect the way things were in the early 1800s. The Sutliff Museum will take you back to Civil War times, and this home belonged to a family that was involved in the Underground Railroad. All of these museums are worth exploring while visiting Warren!
