Not many towns are known for the public library, but Renton breaks the mold. With a gorgeous building that literally crosses the river, the Cedar River Library was built in the 1960s and stretches nearly one hundred feet to cross the river. While enjoying a good book, a visitor can sit and overlook the Cedar River, watching as Salmon jump, in a unique and calming atmosphere. There has been some controversy surrounding the library, as renovations have been needed. A satellite library can be found in a more central part of town.
