The Freedom Park exhibition in Mesquite is a place that many tourists like to visit with their families. It was constructed only a few years ago and contains a beam from Ground Zero of the destruction of September 11th, 2001. This memorial is powerful and crowds can be seen gathered here to pay their respects daily.

When it comes to providing its citizens with things to do, Mesquite excels. The Mesquite Arts Center is popular for catching a musical production or theatrical performance. A community orchestra and theatre group performs here regularly. The Mesquite Arts Center is considered to be a cultural center for the city. Throughout Mesquite, trails and sidewalks abound, connecting parks, stadiums, and shopping centers across the city and allowing families safe places to hike, walk, or run. Families love that their city is so well connected by safe walking paths. Designated bike trails are also available. In recent years, Mesquite has been named a “Playful City USA”, which is a designation that local residents are proud of. Mesquite is also home to a public library system that has received recognition for its high quality facilities.

The expansive Mesquite Golf Club features large, lush trees and a gorgeous golfing green. Both beginners and advanced golfers enjoy this course.
