Widely considered a wonderful place to live, Johns Creek is a suburban city located just northeast of Atlanta in the gorgeous southern state of Georgia. With praise from such sources as USA TODAY claiming Johns Creek is one of the best cities to live in, Johns Creek is a community that boasts a high quality of life.

At Johns Creek’s very beginnings, this region of the state was considered to be Cherokee country. Many trading posts were set up throughout Cherokee tribal land, and eventually families began settling in the area and farms were set up. Once gold was discovered in this area in the early 1800s, the United States decided to push the Cherokee out of their land to make way for the first Gold Rush of its kind. Pushing these native people out of their land by force was later referred to as the Trail of Tears, and these Cherokee tribes were made to live elsewhere, farther west into Oklahoma.

It wasn’t until the 1980s that this area in Georgia began to see significant growth, and it was largely due to new businesses in the technology and engineering industries cropping up near what is modern day Johns Creek. As more and more jobs were available in the area, more homes were built, and the economy continued to generate more growth. Families that lived in this area wanted to develop a better plan for this continued growth, and this is how the community of Johns Creek was born.

Now considered a very affluent community in Georgia, Johns Creek is full of expensive homes, well kept neighborhoods, and quite streets. With a low crime rate and a high quality of life, Johns Creek has very quickly become a desirable place to live.

Providing for residents that enjoy the great outdoors, Johns Creek contains hundreds of acres of parks and open spaces. New parks are being built and old parks are constantly being refurbished and renovated, providing safe and fun places to play for all ages. With a famous dog park, Johns Creek’s Dog Park was nationally ranked as one of the very best in the nation.

When it comes to the arts, Johns Creek provides many resources and outlets for its residents. The Johns Creek Symphony Orchestra is renowned for being one of the best city orchestras in the nation. With classically trained musicians from all over the nation, the Johns Creek Symphony Orchestra performs regularly in the community.
