It’s hard not to be amazed by the grace and elegant yet daunting appearance of a horse. Hacienda de Molinero is a horse farm, and you could almost think of the owners as Farmington equestrian tutors. This farm focuses on the Paso Fino horse, a horse that dates all the way back to the conquistadors! The farm sits on 90 acres, with a long driveway shaded by tall trees. Even just driving down the driveway you have the chance to see yearling stud colts, and mares with their new foals. Who doesn’t love a baby horse? The property also has two large ponds, where you could relax and watch the catfish, bass, and bluegill fish swimming about.

If you go exploring you will come across the main barn, which is huge! Stalls of all varying sizes can be found, and maybe even some horses inside them if they aren’t out and about enjoying the sun! A large riding arena means you can watch as trainers and owners take out their horses and work them, who know maybe you’ll even get to see some cool riding tricks! Don’t worry if it’s winter, the barn has a large wood burning furnace to keep everything nice and comfortable for both the horses and you. Two apartments sit above the barn, where the horse trainer and stable keeper live. Talk about immediate service!

As if the main barn wasn’t enough there is a paddock barn as well as a round pen barn! The paddock barn consists mostly of larger stalls, where the farm will house horses that need more space or are maybe still in training. The round pen barn is probably the most interesting, and is broken up into four parts. One part holds hay and equipment, followed by stalls for even more horses! There is also a large round pen where, just like in the large barn, you can watch people working their horses. The best part, however is a large outdoor BBQ and picnic area that faces the ponds on the property. Here you are more than welcome to relax with friends and family. This might also be a fun unconventional spot to meet with your Farmington tutor as well, sometimes that little switch up keeps the lessons fun and sticking in your mind.
