I have experience as a special needs teacher for a junior high classroom (grades 6-8). I taught math, history, science, and english. Additionally, I was a teacher's assistant for 1st and 2nd grade. In this role I also stayed after school to tutor kids 1-on-1, helping with their homework. As an English major, I have great skills in reading, writing, spelling and vocabulary for all ages. I would be comfortable tutoring elementary and middle school students in all subjects, and tutoring english subjects for all ages. I have even been hired to consult on the college application essay. I am very reliable and dependable. It is important to me that I am a consistent presence with my students and that they succeed. I am patient and will try to understand all components of the assignment so as to best explain it to the student. I am a great communicator and will keep parents updated on the child's progress.
