With a big focus on community life, residents of Live Oak enjoy a number of community groups within their small city. The Live Oak Village Garden Club is an association that promotes the care of the city’s beautiful natural features, as well as landscaping throughout the neighborhoods. The Live Oak League of Arts deals with bringing in concerts, art installations, and theatrical events throughout the year to bolster the community’s art influences. The Live Oak Humane Society deals with the humane treatment of animals, domestic and wild, as well as disease prevention, treatment, and immunization. Two other groups within the community in Live Oak are the Live Oak Mature Adults and the Seniors of Live Oak, both of which boast a large membership.

When it comes to sports and fitness, there are a few community groups in Live Oak. A wide variety of sports leagues are open for youth to join, including a swim team, football team, cheer team, parkour team, skate team, bike team, and little league baseball team. The Live Oak Disc Golf Alliance is also an active community group, as well as a very active Walking Group that plans community walks around town. Joining one of these groups is easy, and residents enjoy belonging to these groups. Being a part of a small group provides a better sense of involvement in the community as a whole.

Each community group in Live Oak hosts a number of events throughout the year, and some more active groups have multiple events each month. One particular community group that is always hosting events is the Seniors of Live Oak. Some of their special events include dinners, lunches, game days, potlucks, and bingo of course. Trail walks are also a regular event throughout the year. Seniors love living in Live Oak, largely because of this active community!

The local parks and recreational facilities in Live Oak are well maintained and enjoyed by citizens of all ages. Families love how clean the parks are kept, and how safe they feel taking their young children to these outdoor spaces. The public pool in Live Oak is a local favorite during the hot and humid summer months.
