The various trail sites offer a peak into the history of many influential women who impacted the state of Arizona. Some of the other trail sites include the First Baptist Church, Saylor’s Root Beer Stand, the Fulcher Family Home, and the Community Center on Hollyhock Street. All of these locations have stories behind them about the significant women that contributed to the history of Surprise, which you can learn about on the trail.
Finally, the World Wildlife Zoo, Aquarium, and Safari Park is a fun attraction just a 15 minute drive away from Surprise that is open all 365 days a year. The zoo is a perfect place for school field trips where students can view Arizona’s biggest collection of exotic and endangered animals. The zoo features various exhibits including wild cats, reptiles, kangaroos, sea lions, a baby animal nursery, and more. Visitors can also enjoy eating at one of several restaurants or having fun on rides like the zip line or roller coaster.
