About Strongsville
Strongsville is a vibrant, progressive middle-sized suburban city in the northern region of the beautiful state of Ohio. As a suburban city to Cleveland, many of Strongsville’s residents live here and commute every day to work, as it is a very close distance. This is a big attraction to living in Strongsville, as many people move here to raise a family outside of the big city of Cleveland. With origins that date back to the early 1800s, the settlers that first came to this part of Ohio claimed this land, though it was considered to be part of the Connecticut territory at that time. The Connecticut Western Reserve was recently purchased at this time, and one of the leaders of the settlement community had the last name of “Strong”, and this is the man that Strongsville was named after. Strongsville residents take pride in their history. Many of the streets throughout town are also named after some of the first settlers of Strongsville, and these streets have names that sound like last names. One interesting fact about Strongsville is that John D. Rockefeller used to live here at one point in time. He was a young boy when his family relocated to Strongsville, and he only spent a few formative years of his life here in Strongsville.
Strongsville residents love all of the beautiful local parks within the community. The Gardenview Horticultural Park is one of the more popular local attractions, bringing in many residents of surrounding communities and tourists throughout the year. The Gardenview Horticulture Park contains a botanical garden, and many different garden sections, each displaying unique flora and fauna. This beautiful park spans over fifteen acres, and has been here in Strongsville since the late 1940s.

With five different public elementary schools, one public middle school, and one public high school, there are also several private schools available to local students.
